Catch Up:October Eddition

Whoa! I knew that it had been a while, but October?? Really? I have been missing this little space of mine on the web. And while it is hard to find blogging time with everything else I do in my day, I would like to try to find my groove here again. I love this platform for sharing my mind and documenting our little tribe. I know I can't promise any regular posts, but I want to give it a go again.
First off, lets see what happened in the month of October.
*We got a new-to-us van. It had been on our to-do list for a while. We had purchased our last van when Peachy was just a baby. The Mr knew what he wanted and how much he wanted to pay. He found what he was looking for on Craigslist and purchased it. It took some sweat equity to get it clean and ready, but we are now the proud owners of a Honda.

*We enjoyed some great outside time as we ended fall with some wonderfully warm days. (I can't wait to get back to green grass again!!)
*We've had our fair share of illnesses. For the most part they are just colds, ear infections, and minor annoyances. This little man did get hand, foot, and mouth, though. Thankfully he handled it like a champ. The Mr also had some sort of weird stomach issue in October that landed us in the ER for the first time as a married couple. Thankfully, he was able to get over it without too many problems.

*The Mr's parents blessed us with a big-kid free weekend at the end of October and we tackled cleaning the carpets and painting the living room and hallway, walls and ceilings. It made such a difference to get that paint on the walls and change out the window treatments. It made it feel so much more our style and our home.

*Once the Mr got the laminate flooring in the dining and front entry, we were able to do an over-haul on my sewing area. It is such a happy place for me to do my creating!!

*Of course Halloween was in there. The girls and I hit up their school's annual party the weekend before Halloween. Cream won first place in the costume contest for her age group with her crayon box. (The men folk stayed home as Shortcake was still in the thick of hand, foot, and mouth.) I took the four trick or treating to the downtown businesses and our church's trunk or treat.

*This sweet girl turned five months old. I will have to look at my camera to see if I actually took five month pictures or not. (Ah, poor Sweetie, we really do love and cherish you despite the lack of monthly pictures and posts.)
That's it for the highlight reel of October!
